Department of Education, University of Kashmir Screens Documentary Under ‘100 Days Nasha Mukt J&K Abhiyaan’

Srinagar, May 13 (PTK): The Department of Education University of Kashmir on Tuesday organised a special screening of the documentary “Drug Addiction – A Threat to Life” as part of the ongoing 100 Days Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan.
The documentary screening was held in the seminar hall of the department with the objective of creating awareness among students about the psychological, physiological and social impacts of drug addiction.
Officials said the initiative aimed at sensitising students about the devastating consequences of substance abuse and encouraging responsible social engagement to build a drug-free society.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from students enrolled in MA Education, B.Ed and M.Ed programmes, besides faculty and staff members of the department, reflecting a collective commitment towards promoting a healthy academic environment.
During the event, participants were urged to act as ambassadors against drug abuse and spread awareness within society regarding the harmful effects of narcotics and substance addiction.
The Department of Education reiterated its support to the anti-drug campaign and highlighted the important role educational institutions can play in guiding youth towards constructive and healthy lifestyles.(PTK)
